BEST Leuven Game Jam!
The BEST Leuven Game Jam is back for its 4th edition!
Organised in collaboration with the Vlaams Audiovisueel Fonds
What is a Game Jam?
A Game Jam is an event where you, either alone or in a team, get a limited amount of time to create a game from scratch. At the start of the event, you will receive a theme (Non-compulsory), brainstorm your ideas, and then bring them to life!
You'll have 49 hours to design, develop, finish and play your games! Whether you're an experienced programmer, an amazing artist, a talented musician, or someone who has never made a game before, everyone is welcome! No experience is required, because we have coaches that will be walking around and answering all of your questions. At the end, you’ll receive feedback from a panel of judges. And who knows, maybe you can use your gamejam submission as a base for a full fledged game later.

Other Opportunities!
Coach:
If you have lots of experience and want to help others make their games, then you should join us as a coach.
But what is a coach?
Your main role is simply to drop by and be helpful. You'll answer technical engine questions, troubleshoot code bugs, and offer creative feedback on game design as student teams bring their prototypes to life.
Why join us as a Coach?
- Studio visibility & networking: Put your studio on the radar of emerging local talent, share your experience, and showcase what you're building in a casual, supportive environment.
- Complete flexibility: Drop in and leave whenever it suits your schedule across the weekend—no rigid hourly commitments required.
- We’ve got lunch & dinner covered: Enjoy free meals, snacks, and drinks!
While most teams will be building in Godot or Unity, we are looking for mentors with experience across Unreal, GameMaker, or any other engine, as well as creative design background. Whether you can pop in for two hours or spend the whole event with us, your technical advice and creative insights will make a massive difference for our student teams.
